Electro-Acupuncture

Electroacupuncture is quite similar to traditional acupuncture in that the needles are stimulated during treatment. As with traditional acupuncture, needles are inserted on specific points along the body. The needles are then attached to a device that generates continuous electric pulses using small clips.

Some people have experienced treatments with a TENS unit before. While the concept is similar, electro acupuncture has a more direct effect on the motor nerves as opposed to the more superficial sensory nerves, thereby treating affected muscles and joints more efficiently.
